{"id":61692,"date":"2026-07-29T17:53:15","date_gmt":"2026-07-29T15:53:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/urbe.aero\/?p=61692"},"modified":"2026-07-29T18:02:52","modified_gmt":"2026-07-29T16:02:52","slug":"become-aeroitalia-pilot-training-programme-urbe-aero","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.urbe.aero\/en\/become-aeroitalia-pilot-training-programme-urbe-aero\/","title":{"rendered":"Aeroitalia and Urbe Aero Flight Academy: a new partnership to train the pilots of the future"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Becoming an airline pilot in Italy today offers new and exciting career opportunities. <strong>Aeroitalia<\/strong>, a rapidly expanding Italian airline, has chosen <strong>Urbe Aero Flight Academy<\/strong> as its reference training organisation for the selection, training and operational placement of its future First Officers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The partnership has been established to support Aeroitalia\u2019s growth plan, which will see new <strong>Boeing 737 MAX 8<\/strong> aircraft join its fleet from 2027, creating a direct, high-level pathway from the flight academy to the cockpit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A concrete opportunity for aspiring pilots and cadets<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The strategic agreement includes two pathways designed both for those starting their training from scratch and for candidates who have already begun their training journey:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>ATPL Mentored Cadet Programme:<\/strong> a comprehensive programme for candidates wishing to undertake ab initio training, supporting students from the initial selection process through to their first hours of operational flying with the airline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>APS MCC + Type Rating Candidate Pipeline:<\/strong> a preferential pathway for candidates who have already started or completed their ATPL training, guiding them through to obtaining their Boeing 737 type rating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Candidates will be jointly selected by Urbe Aero and Aeroitalia Aviation Academy through a process designed to identify the strongest aptitudes and the appropriate level of operational discipline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Training excellence meets fleet expansion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Prof. Gaetano Intrieri, CEO of Aeroitalia:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe chose Urbe Aero because we consider it an organisation of excellence.
